About the Speakers

Lester Chua

Lester is a Partner at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP and is currently serving as an Associate Director at Rajah & Tann’s Yangon office, Rajah & Tann NK Legal Myanmar Co Ltd. As a Singapore-qualified lawyer, Lester has advised and assisted clients on various litigation and arbitration matters spanning a broad spectrum of areas of law, including employment, construction, banking and insolvency, corporate, matrimonial and criminal law. Lester has also advised many charities and NGOs on charities governance matters.

Since assuming his role as Associate Director of Rajah & Tann’s Yangon office in August 2016, Lester has advised many local and foreign clients on setting up businesses in Myanmar, civil and commercial disputes, criminal complaints, labour law and immigrations-related issues.


Tianhao Chua

Tianhao is currently the Partner of Quantum HR, a regional HR Advisory firm with a focus on Myanmar. Leveraging on a methodology integrating international best practices and in-depth local knowledge, Quantum supports companies with a range of strategic and operation HR services including Payroll Outsourcing, Executive Search, HR Services Advisory and Outsourcing. To date, Quantum has supported hundreds of clients including both international and Myanmar companies.

He was formerly the COO for Ya Kun Cafe Myanmar. During his stint, he placed high priority on the implementation of optimal human resource strategies to ensure a systematic expansion from 40 staffs to today’s over 200 staffs. He is also the co-founder of Myanmar Entrepreneur Network (MMEN), a 5000-member strong entrepreneurs network.
